Review Your Trade Show Program This Summer

Jun 11, 2025

Summer is here, let’s take a look at your trade show program!

Before leaving the office for a relaxing summer trip, set aside time to review your current trade show program. Whether you’re renting your booth or you own your assets, now is the perfect time to evaluate what’s working and what needs to be changed. We created a list of what to review with your team below to get a head start on your next show.

What to review

If you own your exhibit:

  • Graphics
    • Did your company go through a recent rebrand or launch an exciting new product? Make sure your graphics reflect that before heading to the next show. It might also be a good time to review what your current message is and ensure it still aligns with your brand.
  • Booth Assets
    • Inspect your current exhibit structure and ensure that everything is where it needs to be and nothing needs to be fixed. Heading to a show and seeing your counter is chipped or you have a tear in your fabric graphics is not ideal, get a jump start on it now.

If you rent your exhibit:

  • Exhibit Design
    • Check to see if your past design works for your next show. If you have been renting the same exhibit structure for the past couple of years, it might be a good time to invest in a new design and layout. What worked at the previous show and what didn’t? How do you stand out from your competitors and is that reflected in your design?
  • Rental Furniture
    • Discuss with your sales and management team about the pros and cons of your current rental furniture. Maybe they need more seating areas, less bar height tables, or more furniture that comes with outlets for laptops.

Overall:

  • Marketing Material
    • See if you need to order more marketing material and establish if it’s up to date with current phone numbers, business addresses, and logos.
  • Giveaways
    • Did attendees enjoy the giveaways you previously handed out? Meet with your team to determine if your giveaways are working or if you need to order new ones.
  • Show Outreach
    • Meet with your sales and marketing team to analyze how your organization is reaching out to current prospects attending your trade show.  Establish best practices to ensure you are spending money and time on what works best for your team.
