Industry Series: Food & Beverage Exhibits

First time exhibiting in the food & beverage space and wondering what to add to your booth or where to start in the planning process? When designing exhibits for our clients, it all comes down to what type of product you’re offering on the show floor. For coffee vendors you might need a variety of outlets to plug in your machines while for a food vendor you may need prep space to show off what you’re making. With over 50+ years of experience in the trade show realm helping clients prepare their food & beverage exhibits, we have developed a detailed list on what to consider when creating your space below.

What to consider with food & beverage exhibits:

  • Prep Space
    •  If you’re showcasing a specific way to work with your product, you should consider adding a prep space for attendees to watch. At The Inspired Home Show, we worked with Wilton to develop a prep space to show off their cupcake making skills to attendees making their own.
  • Plumbing
    • Will you need a functioning sink or easily accessible water source? Consider adding plumbing to your exhibit. Both BWT and Melitta featured raised floors to hide their plumbing to direct water into their booth. Melitta utilized this feature to connect their sink and coffee machines.
  • Food Storage & Refrigeration
    • Keeping ingredients cool and safe to eat is essential. We have added mini-fridges to our clients exhibits for smaller goods while also adding in large fridges for other clients. Make sure you determine how much food storge you will need and create a storage closet to hide your refrigeration in.
  • Sneeze Guards
    • Just as the name describes, adding sneeze guards would be beneficial if you are creating food items in front of attendees. This will ensure germ free enjoyment of your products while letting attendees see what you make.
